Exciting young defender Kiera Mueller has signed a one-year contract extension through to the end of 2025.

The 21-year-old has become an important contributor across half-back and was named in the AFL Players’ Association AFLW 22Under22 squad last season. She has also previously received a Rising Star nomination.

Taken at Pick No.69 in the 2022 AFLW Draft, Mueller has become a trusted part of the Crows’ defence and known for her ability to read the play, coupled with sound decision-making.

“I’m super excited to sign on, I’ve really enjoyed the past two seasons so I’m so glad to be around the girls a bit longer and play some good footy,” Mueller said.

“Last year I think I was able to find my feet and I felt like I found my place across the half back which was really pleasing.

“The Club is such a fun environment to be in and all the girls and staff are so great so I’m really looking forward to the future.”

Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper described Mueller as an important part of the Club’s future.

“We love what Kiera brings to our group and the coaches have been really pleased with her development over the past two seasons,” Harper said.

“Better still, we think she still has plenty of untapped potential and we look forward to seeing her make the most her talents in the coming years.”
