Kuwarna forward/midfielder Izak Rankine has received a NAB AFL Goal of the Year nomination following the Club’s Round 10 clash against Collingwood.
The 24-year-old produced a piece of brilliance late in the last quarter at a forward 50 stoppage, where he found separation from a Magpies defender.
Streaming towards the boundary line, Rankine quickly composed himself, had a look at the goals, and cleverly put the ball onto his left boot.
The classy dribble kick evaded the Collingwood defenders between him and the goal, with the effort putting Kuwarna in front.
The goal highlighted an impressive performance from Rankine, who registered 30 disposals, eight clearances, four score involvements and 699 metres gained.
This is Rankine’s third NAB AFL Goal of the Year nomination of the season. Vote for him here.
