Adelaide midfielder Sam Berry has received a Round Five AFL Goal of the Year nomination, following the Crows’ thrilling two-point win over Carlton at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was recognised for his efforts in the dying stages of the clash, where he put his team in front with just under 90 seconds remaining.
Attending a stoppage deep in Adelaide’s forward line, Berry found himself perfectly positioned as teammate Ben Keays won the ball.
Receiving a handball in space, he quickly composed himself and had a shot on-goal, which subsequently sailed through.
The goal capped an impactful performance from Berry, who after coming on as the substitute late in the third quarter, recorded nine disposals and two tackles.

Voting closes at 9.30am (ACST) on Thursday, April 18.
