Dangerfield has polled 81 votes for the season to be in outright fifth spot in the AFLCA Player of the Year award after 21 rounds. Richmond midfielder Trent Cotchin leads on 97 votes.
Scott Thompson (two) votes was the only other player in the losing Adelaide team to earn recognition from the coaches. Thompson is in sixth spot, five votes behind teammate Dangerfield.
