Midfielder Bernie Vince will miss Adelaide's next match against St Kilda after accepting a one-match ban for striking Fremantle utility Zac Clarke in the third quarter of the match at Patersons Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Vince was reported on the spot after an altercation with Clarke, which resulted in a free-kick and goal to Dockers midfielder Michael Barlow.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points), resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction.

However, due to a five-year good record Vince was able to accept a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.
