Adelaide is taking its pre-season preparations to the south-east next week, as players continue to build ahead of their 2024 AFL campaign.

Crows players will train at West Lakes on Monday, before spending the next two days in Robe, as part of their pre-season schedule.

The trip will have a focus on team bonding, with activities including a cricket game between players and staff planned, as well as a full training session.

Members and fans will get a chance to watch their favourite players in action during an open training session at Robe Football Club on Wednesday, January 24.

Players will be available for autographs and photos after training.

Crows Captain Jordan Dawson, who hails from Robe, says footy means a lot to people in the south-east and he is excited to give back to fans in the regional town.

“It’s a privilege to go home and I’m really passionate about showing the boys where I’m from,” Dawson said.

“It’s also a good opportunity for us to get away as a group and bond just before the season with a few team activities.

“It will be a full circle moment for me being able to go to Robe as a club and reminisce on the times I was playing footy on the oval where we are going to train, which is pretty cool.

“To have a training session where kids can come and watch and know that it is possible to play AFL from that area is great, and likewise with Hingey, Fog and Pedlar, who are from the south-east as well, which is really special.”
