New date for hearing
The AFL Commission hearing has been rescheduled for Friday, November 30
It means a decision will be known before the pre-season draft to be held on Tuesday, December 11. Tippett hopes to be eligible to participate in that draft.
The original hearing scheduled for Monday was postponed last Friday after several parties called for an adjournment.
Adelaide Crows Football Club, its CEO Steven Trigg, Football Operations Manager Phil Harper, former general manager of football operations John Reid and Adelaide-listed player Kurt Tippett face a total of 11 charges in relation to a breach of the total player payment rules and conduct prejudicial to the AFL draft.
The adjournment means the Crows are able to participate in this week's NAB AFL Draft to be held on the Gold Coast on Thursday.
However, Tippett remains an Adelaide-listed player as the AFL told the Crows they were not allowed to delist him leading up to the NAB AFL Draft.
The Crows were instead forced to delist 19-year-old Nick Joyce ahead of the draft but guaranteed the youngster they would redraft him.
In order to be eligible to participate in the pre-season draft, Tippett will need to delist himself by the November 28 deadline and nominate for the pre-season draft.
His participation in that draft will then be subject to decision made after the AFL Commission hearing on November 30.
