James Podsiadly has taken second place in our search for the Crows Mark of the Year for 2014.
J-pod’s classic hanger against North Melbourne in Round 13 received almost 25 per cent of the total vote to be crowned the runner-up in our end-of-season poll.
Podsiadly was the only Crow to have more than one mark in the running for the Crows Mark of the Year title. His fly from Adelaide’s Round Seven clash with the Demons was also among the contenders.

The Crows were in full control of the Kangaroos in front of over 47,000 fans under lights at Adelaide Oval.
Ahead by 38 points in the dying stages of the third term, Podsiadly launched himself at a high ball from Matthew Jaensch on the eastern wing. Kangaroos defender Lachlan Hansen was the perfect stepladder for Pods, who soared to the skies to haul down the mark in one clean take.

It was just one of many big grabs for Podsiadly in his first season as a Crow. The 33-year-old finished the year No.6 in the AFL for contested marks and was fourth on Adelaide’s goalkicking table with 26 majors.
