The Crows have added another midfielder to their mix, selecting Dandenong Stingray Myles Poholke with pick No.44 in Friday night's AFL National Draft in Sydney.

Poholke was Adelaide's second selection following Eastern Ranges line-breaker Jordan Gallucci at pick No.15.

A medium midfielder who is strong overhead for his size, tough and has a good mix of inside and outside game.

Poholke was a late addition to the AFL Academy after showing promise with TAC Cup side Dandenong Stingrays late last year and he worked hard this year to continue to develop his game and improve his fitness.

He played well for Vic Country this year in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, averaging 15 possessions in the campaign.

Poholke’s TAC Cup numbers were impressive, averaging 21 disposals per game and winning the Stingrays’ best and fairest award. He is quick with his hands inside stoppages but also has the pace to be damaging on the outside.

His improved fitness was on show at the draft combine, where he posted a 14.1 in the beep. 10:51 for the 3km time trial, and showed some speed in the 20m sprint with a 2.98.
