Brisbane Lions forward Josh Green could miss Sunday’s clash with Adelaide pending the results of a concussion test.

Green was cleaned up by Melbourne’s Nathan Jones and also copped a big hit from teammate Michael Close during the Lions’ triumph over the Demons.

Brisbane Strength and Conditioning coach Matt Hass said the club would take a no-risk approach with the Lions’ leading 2014 goalkicker.

"Josh said he had a pretty ordinary day. I think he got cleaned up by Jones, and ran into a bit of friendly fire from Close as well,” Hass said.

“He did his concussion tests this morning, and the results are pending. If he passes that, he’ll be fine to play this weekend. But if not, he’ll have a rest.”

The Lions are also likely to take a conservative approach with ruckman Matthew Leuenberger, who continued his comeback from a long-term knee injury in the NEAFL last weekend.

With Stefan Martin in career-best form, Hass said Brisbane had no reason to rush the 26-year-old back into the side.

“Leuey played three quarters of the game and played pretty well. He’s pulled up OK and has improved every day since,” Hass said.

“He’s tracking for another game in the twos, where he should play a full match and push for senior selection.”

Tough midfielder Brent Moloney remains 1-2 weeks away from a return from an Achilles injury and is therefore unavailable to confront the Crows on Sunday.
