Andrew McPherson has been awarded the 2023 Dr Brian Sando OAM Trophy for his outstanding professionalism and preparation to play at the highest level.
The award was introduced in 2012 to honour the memory of long-serving Crows doctor and life member Brian Sando OAM, who passed away due to illness.
This is the second time McPherson has claimed the award, having won it in 2020.
Despite being restricted by injuries over the past year, the defender’s dedication and determination shone through.
McPherson lined up in eight SANFL games for the Crows this past year and averaged 16.6 disposals.
He follows Ben Keays, who took out the award in 2022.
