Adelaide AFLW Coach Matthew Clarke says Greater Western Sydney’s offensive game style presents as a “unique” challenge for his squad on Saturday.

The Crows will be looking to make it four straight wins to begin the season as they travel to Canberra’s Manuka Oval to take on the Giants.

But while Adelaide comes into the clash highly fancied, Clarke told the media on Friday that GWS’ unique style of play would provide a challenge his team has not yet faced in 2023.

“I really admire the way they play, it is a very attacking game style which sees them attack the corridor more than anyone and handball more than anymore, so it’s fun to watch how they go about it,” Clarke said.

“That (ball movement) in itself offers a unique challenge for us and something we probably haven’t seen yet this season.

“Looking at the ladder people may think the game will go a certain way, but I certainly don’t see this one like that. I'm really looking forward to a tight game and it should be a great spectacle.”

The Crows find themselves in familiar territory three weeks into the season, sitting third on the ladder with an impressive percentage of 243.2%.

Clarke said he was happy with how his team had begun the campaign, but emphasised how important it would be to continue winning as the top rungs of the ladder take shape.

“It’s been a great start and it’s great to be in this position, but now we just need to keep winning,” Clarke said.

“It’s still a little bit early in the season to get a read on how it’s all going to shake out (up the top), we probably need to see everyone play a few more games to get a better picture.

“The focus for us is just to continue improving our game each week, and hopefully the results will take care of themselves.”

Adelaide faces Greater Western Sydney at Manuka Oval on Saturday, with the first bounce at 10.35am.
