Adelaide forward Shane McAdam has informed the Club of his desire to be traded to the Melbourne Football Club.

The Crows were keen to retain McAdam and he had been offered a contract during the season, as he is viewed as an important player.

Adelaide will work to secure the best possible outcome during the trade period which begins on October 9.
