Adelaide has unveiled two Club debutants ahead of its opening round match against Port Adelaide on Saturday.

Crows Senior Coach Matt Clarke revealed on Wednesday new recruits Sarah Goodwin and Yvonne Bonner would play their first games in the tri colours in the Showdown.

Goodwin will be lining up against her former team, after arriving at West Lakes from Port Adelaide during the 2023 Sign and Trade period.

The 19-year-old was drafted in 2022 at Pick No.7 by Port Adelaide and went on to play five games in Season Seven.

A 168cm attacking defender, Goodwin was part of Glenelg’s 2021 SANFLW premiership winning team alongside new Crows teammates Ebony Marinoff, Caitlin Gould and Brooke Tonon.

Bonner, meanwhile, was selected by the Crows with Pick No.26 at the 2023 AFLW Supplementary Draft.

The forward made her AFLW debut with the Giants in 2019, kicking an average of almost a goal per game, before an ankle injury ended her 2020 season after only four games, and she later returned to Ireland due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bonner is also a talented Gaelic footballer with a career spanning more than 20 years and previously played 11 AFLW games for GWS.
