Workskil Australia has extended as Co-Major Sponsor of Adelaide Football Club’s AFLW team, taking its partnership with the Crows to the end of 2024 and its ninth season.

The extension has been announced as the new AFLW season gets underway and ahead of the much-anticipated Showdown between the Crows and Port Adelaide at Norwood Oval on September 2.

Workskil Australia, the country’s largest not-for-profit employment services provider, has been a sponsor of the Crows team since its inception in 2017.

Crows CEO Tim Silvers credited Workskil Australia’s long-standing support as one of the key drivers in the Club’s successful AFLW program.

“From day one Workskil backed us to create the best women’s football program in the country and now, more than seven years later, their commitment to our AFLW side is as strong as ever,” Silvers said.

“Both organisations strive to have a positive impact on the community and we are proud that our association is now stretching to our charitable foundation, and the delivery of the successful Kuwa Circles program for Indigenous women.”

As part of the sponsorship, Crows premiership player Stevie-Lee Thompson will continue in her ambassador role with Workskil Australia, mentoring and inspiring young and disadvantaged job seekers.

Workskil Australia CEO Nicole Dwyer said the Melrose Park-headquartered organisation was pleased to continue its long association with the Adelaide Football Club.

“Workskil Australia is incredibly proud to continue our support of the Crows,” Dwyer said.

“As a charity that works closely with vulnerable people right across Australia, we couldn’t think of more inspiring role models for our clients than these amazing sportswomen. Our two organisations have enjoyed a strong association since Day One and we wish the Adelaide Football Club every success in the AFLW season ahead.”

Workskil Australia’s association with the Adelaide Football Club extends to its involvement with the Kuwa Circles program – an industry and education collaboration between the Adelaide Crows Foundation, Stronger Smarter Institute and Workskil Australia to help Indigenous women access careers education and pathways, particularly in Science Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
