Adelaide’s second annual Member Engagement Panel came to the end of its tenure this week.
The 10-person group, which is a cross-section of the Club’s membership, was created to ensure the Board and executive management could receive unfiltered feedback from the most passionate of supporters.
This year’s participants met on four occasions, with Chairman John Olsen, Board Director Graeme Goodings and CEO Tim Silvers among the regular attendees.
A number of key topics were discussed and feedback acted upon across various areas, including but not limited to, member merchandise recognising years of service, features of the proposed new training and administration facility, and match day experience.
Club Engagement Executive, and panel host, Sam Jacobs thanked the participants for their contribution.
“It is great to have our members so involved and as a Club we are very thankful for the effort and energy this group has brought to our discussions,” Jacobs said.
“We have really enjoyed speaking to them about our operations and we have been very impressed with their passion and determination.
“While footy clubs are very large operations nowadays, we are committed to strengthening our connection with our members and fans, and involving them in what we are doing.”
Adelaide was the first AFL Club to establish a small and dedicated focus group of this kind and successful applicants are required to go through a formal interview and selection process..
The Member Engagement Panel will run again in 2024, with more details on its composition to be announced in coming weeks.
