Defender Tom Doedee is recovering at home following successful knee surgery and is expected back in at the Club next week to begin his rehabilitation.
Doedee ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee in Round 12 and had surgery last Wednesday.
Crows High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said Doedee remained in good spirits and his recovery was under way.
“Tom is now around a week post-surgery and is at home recovering well,” Burgess said.
“The surgery went well and there were no complications so he will have a period at home recuperating, icing and resting the knee, and then will come into the Club in the next week or so and begin his rehab process from there.
“As you know Tom loves his movies and Netflix so he’s given us plenty to rate and review so he’s doing well and is as positive as always.”
Fellow defender Andrew McPherson has resumed running as he recovers from a quad injury.
“He’s progressing really well there, we’re expecting him to have a period of three or four weeks of running and training and we will look to integrate him back into game time in five or six weeks from now,” Burgess said.
Injury list as of Tuesday, June 20:
Andrew McPherson (quad) 6 weeks
Zac Taylor (foot) 6-8 weeks
Tom Doedee (knee) season
