Adelaide AFLW Senior Coach Matthew Clarke believes an influx of exciting talent is set to enter the competition across the next three to four years.

Preparing for his sixth season at the helm, the Crows have been a force of the AFLW throughout his tenure, winning two premierships and making the finals on four occasions.

But while Clarke has already enjoyed his fair share of success, he told Sauce and Thomo on The Crows Radio Show the most exciting times are still to come.

“We are six years in and already there has been an amazing transformation in the AFLW space,” Clarke said.

“But because there is a whole wave of talent right across the league, where girls have played a whole junior career before transitioning into the competition.

“The skill level of the competition just continues to improve and the players that are going to be here over the next decade will be even more exciting.”

The Crows AFLW side began its pre-season on Monday, and in a step towards becoming full-time athletes, players were set to spend a full day at the Club each Friday in the lead up to Round One.
