The nephew of a Swans great will make his SANFL debut in Adelaide’s opening-round clash with Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval this Saturday.
Blayne O’Loughlin, the nephew of Sydney 300-gamer and AFL Indigenous Team of the Century star Michael O’Loughlin, will play his first League game after lining up with North Adelaide’s reserves last season.
O’Loughlin, who signed with Adelaide’s State League side in November, will be joined in the side by former Collingwood defender Jack Madgen, who will also play his first SANFL game.
Madgen signed on as the Crows’ SANFL marquee player in December, after his 49-game AFL career with the Magpies came to an end.
Fellow recruit and ex-West Adelaide player Hugh Haysman has also been named, while development player Isaya McKenzie is set to notch his 50th game.
AFL-listed players Hugh Bond, Tyler Brown and Mark Keane have been included in the team, alongside Matt Crouch, Tariek Newchurch and Harry Schoenberg.
AFL emergencies will be added to the SANFL side.
Adelaide’s SANFL side takes on Port Adelaide in a SANFL ‘Showdown’ at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, with the first bounce at 3.10pm.
The match is a curtain raiser to the Club’s Round Three AFL Showdown, which kicks off at 7pm.
