The AFL Tribunal Appeals Board has upheld a three-game ban for Crows forward Shane McAdam for rough conduct.
McAdam was suspended by the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night for a bump on GWS’s Jacob Wehr on Sunday.
The charge of rough conduct was graded by the Match Review Officer (MRO) as careless with severe impact and high contact and upheld by the tribunal.
At the appeal hearing on Thursday night, the Club’s legal counsel Tom Duggan KC and Andrew Culshaw argued the classification of the impact was inconsistent with other incidents assessed by the MRO.
The Appeals Board dismissed the challenge and upheld the tribunal’s three-game suspension, meaning McAdam will miss Adelaide’s upcoming games against Richmond, Port Adelaide and Fremantle.
