Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has revealed he will only play in one other pre-season practice match, as the side continues to prepare for Round One.

The Crows will continue their pre-season fixture with a match simulation against Fremantle on Friday.

They will remain in WA and play West Coast in a practice match at Mineral Resources Park on Friday, March 3.

Speaking on Triple M Breakfast with ‘Roo, Ditts and Loz’ on Tuesday, Walker said he would not line up in the Crows’ clash with Fremantle this Friday.

But the key forward, who booted four goals in the Crows’ intraclub trial game last week, said he would travel to WA for the match against the Eagles, with Round One set to be two weeks later.

“It was good to have a little hit-out, it just means we are getting closer to the real stuff,” Walker said.

“I’m not going for the first week, I’ll stay home, then I’ll head over on the Monday for the West Coast game.

“As you get a little bit older you get looked after a bit more, so we’ll leave it for the real stuff.

“But I’m looking forward to having a bit of a hit-out against West Coast.”

Walker also praised Adelaide’s forward line and the way it performed during the intraclub trial game.

“(Rankine) is an exceptional talent,” Walker said.

“He’s been awesome, a great pick-up.

“It’s going to be very exciting with him and Rash (Josh Rachele) and guys like that up front.”

Adelaide’s match simulation against Fremantle and its practice match against West Coast will both be broadcast live on Kayo and Foxtel.
