Adelaide forward Taylor Walker says players are coming off an intense couple of pre-season training sessions, as the side edges closer to its Round One match.
The Crows have just 16 days before their first pre-season hit-out - an intraclub match which is open to Members and fans - before a trip to WA for practice games against Fremantle and West Coast.
Walker, who spoke to Triple M Breakfast with Roo, Ditts and Loz on Tuesday, said there were, however, three players who had really impressed him on the training track so far.
“We’ve just come off a four-day break, but the two weeks before that were probably our biggest weeks during pre-season,” Walker said.
“The ones who are training really well are Wayne Milera - he’s looking very, very healthy off half-back, Elliott Himmelberg, for Crows supporters is training the absolute house down, he’s been awesome.
“Also for Crows fans Max Michalanney, our number one draft pick, he’s been outstanding as well.
Walker, well known for being a prankster at the Club, was also asked about whether he had pulled any tricks on any teammates of late.
And the forward recalled a time a few years ago when he became a victim of a practical joke.
“I’ve been stitched up once when we used to train at Max Basheer (Reserve),” Walker said.
“I used to park where I wasn’t supposed to and we went out to start training this one morning and next minute everyone but me looked over to Brebner Drive and there was a tow truck towing my car away.
“I still remember Michael Doughty and Brent Reilly who organised that.
“Dogga, who is my manager, rang me the other day and said ‘mate you don’t know anyone who’s got a tow truck business do you?’
“I said ‘You should know’.”
