Adelaide Skipper Chelsea Randall has been recognised with the AFLW Players’ Most Courageous and Best Captain awards.
Randall, 31, claimed the peer-voted awards at the AFLW Players’ MVP presentation on Wednesday night.
The three-time Premiership star’s stronghold on the Most Courageous award continued, taking the accolade out for the fifth time in seven seasons.
She has won Most Courageous in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and in Season Seven.
Randall, who helped guide the Crows to Premierships in Seasons One, Three and Six, has skippered the Crows AFLW side since its inception in 2017.
She has become one of the competition and Club’s most decorated players, inspiring her teammates both on and off the field with her selfless acts and care for others.
In Season Seven, Randall enjoyed career-best form in both disposals (17.8) and clearances (3.7).
She also made history when she won the inaugural AFLW Showdown Medal for her performance against crosstown rivals Port Adelaide in Round Six, in which she finished with 27 disposals, seven clearances and three goals.
Other awards presented on the night were the Most Valuable Player and Best First Year Player.
MVP Voting Process
Every AFL player is asked to nominate the three teammates they deem worthy of the AFLW MVP.
In stage two of the voting process, players are asked to select their MVP from the list featuring three nominees from every club.
However, players can’t vote for their teammates in stage two.
Players nominate just one teammate for the second round of voting for the Most Courageous and Best-First Year player awards.
All captains are automatically nominated. Players remain eligible for the awards even if suspended.
