Three Adelaide youngsters have been selected in the AFL Players’ Association AFLW 22Under22 Squad of 44.
The fan-voted award recognises the best 22 players aged under 22 for the entirety of the AFLW season.
On Wednesday, the AFL Players Association announced a 44-woman extended squad which included Crows youngsters Danielle Ponter, Madison Newman and Abbie Ballard.
Ponter has been named in the extended 22Under22 squad for a fourth time, cementing herself as one of the Crows' most talented young forwards.
She was nominated for the Crypto.com Goal of the Year twice in Season Seven - for special majors booted in Round Three and Round Nine.
The dynamic goal-kicker booted nine majors from seven minor round games and averaged 9.7 disposals.
Newman, meanwhile, has enjoyed a stellar season, having played all 10 minor round matches and averaged 13.1 disposals.
Ballard, who Adelaide drafted ahead of Season Six, has also not missed a game this campaign and has averaged 7.9 disposals and 4.6 tackles.
The 20-year-old forward was nominated for a Rising Star Award for her Round Two performance in the Crows’ victory against Richmond.
Ballard was vital in the Crows’ come-from-behind victory, booting two majors in the final term to secure Adelaide a nine-point win.
