Adelaide takes on St Kilda in the final minor round of the AFLW Season Seven this Saturday.
Ahead of the match and, regardless of the result, the side has qualified for the finals series.
The AFLW will follow the same structure as the men’s finals series, with 18 teams in the competition.
The finals will run over four weeks with the grand final likely to be hosted on the weekend of November 25-27.
AFC Media looks at every scenario and maps out what Adelaide’s next few weeks could look like, with the competition having a top eight for the first time.
If the Crows beat St Kilda
- Top-four finish locked in.
- Will face either Melbourne or Brisbane away in a qualifying final.
- Top-two finish possible but would require Demons and Lions to both lose by considerable margins (150+).
If the Crows lose to St Kilda
- Likely to finish fourth or fifth, depending on Collingwood’s result against Brisbane.
- Winner of Richmond vs North Melbourne assured to leapfrog the Crows.
- Sixth, seventh place finish possible but would require a considerable loss and other results to go against the Crows.
Adelaide will face Brisbane or Melbourne away in a qualifying final if it finishes fourth.
If it finishes between fifth and seventh, it will face either Richmond, North Melbourne, Collingwood, Geelong or Western Bulldogs in an elimination final (pending other results).
