Adelaide has made four changes ahead of its Round Nine clash with Geelong at Unley Oval on Friday night.

Crows AFLW Senior Coach Matthew Clarke revealed earlier on Thursday draftee Kiera Mueller would make her debut against the Cats.

Mueller, a small defender from Sturt Football Club, is renowned for her booming left kick and strong decision-making.

The 19-year-old is a graduate of the Bridgestone Crows Academy, thrives in one-on-one contests and also provides plenty on the attack.

Skipper Chelsea Randall will miss Friday’s match due to an ankle injury sustained in last weekend’s loss against Brisbane.

Clarke said Mueller had shown plenty of potential at training and was keen to give her an opportunity.

“Chelsea missing out this week is obviously frustrating and disappointing,” Clarke said.

“But the upside of that is we get an opportunity to blood new players, so we’re going to have a debutant this week in Kiera Mueller.

“It’s really good for us that she’s able to make her debut because she’s done everything right and she’s ready to go.

“We had a scratch match up on the Gold Coast last week and she was really strong, played really well, so I’m really excited she’s going to come in and debut for the Club.”

Forward Lisa Whiteley, youngster Brooke Tonon and recruit Amber Ward round out the inclusions.

Defender Marijana Rajcic, Jasmine Simmons and Hannah Button have been omitted.

Adelaide will look to bounce back from its loss to the Lions when it takes on Geelong at Unley Oval on Friday night, with the first bounce at 5.10pm.

Clarke encouraged as many Members and fans to attend the Crows final home match of Season Seven’s minor round.

“Last time we played at Unley, the fans showed up and the atmosphere was really good,” Clarke said.

“It’s got a good feel, so from a supporters’ point-of-view, it’s a great venue and our fans have been great in terms of rolling up and attending.

“We get to play our final home game there this weekend and celebrate our Members.”
