Adelaide would like to thank James Rowe, Ben Davis and Brett Turner for their effort and dedication to the Club.

The trio has been informed in the past 24 hours that their contracts would not be renewed for next season as the Club finalises its list changes ahead of the National Draft.

Rowe was drafted in 2020 and kicked 27 goals in his 36 games as a small forward while Davis was drafted in 2016 and played 11 AFL games as both a forward and rebounding defender.

Turner joined the Club via the Mid-Season Rookie Draft this year and played in Adelaide’s SANFL finals series.

The Club has told him it will consider re-drafting him as a rookie next month.

Adelaide General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid thanked the trio for their contribution to the Club.

“It’s an unfortunate part of the industry that difficult decisions have to be made each year and we are saying goodbye to three high quality people in James, Ben and Brett,” Reid said.

“They are popular members of our playing group, James and Ben have become much-loved, hard-working and reliable players and while Brett has only been with us a short time, he also earnt the respect of his teammates and coaches by overcoming injury and playing an important role in our SANFL finals campaign.

“Each of them has made a valuable contribution to our Club over their respective journeys, and we wish them well with whatever comes next.”

The three changes take the total number of departures from Adelaide’s list this season to five following Luke Brown’s retirement and Billy Frampton’s trade to Collingwood.

Key defender James Borlase and forward Tariek Newchurch will both be retained as Category B rookies for next season.

The Crows currently have Picks 23 and 46 in next month’s National Draft.
