The developing side is set to enter the competition in 2011, and will receive its first intake of uncontracted players at the end of 2010. It is expected to target home-grown players such as Tippett, St Kilda's Nick Riewoldt, Melbourne's Ricky Petterd and Brisbane Lion Daniel Merrett as it attempts to build a competitive list.
The 21-year-old Crow, who won the round eight nomination for the NAB AFL Rising Star and is currently contracted until the end of next year, believes he could be presented with a "tough" decision if the franchise was to approach him.
"You never know, and you never say never to anything," Tippett told afl.com.au.
"But, I'm having a great time here, playing for the Crows. They've given me a start and shown great faith in me, and I'm really settled in here and enjoying playing footy with my new friends down in Adelaide.
"It's a long way away, and I'm still contracted here until the end of next year so it's not something I have to think about for a couple of years.
"I'm really enjoying my football here, and I've settled in really well."
Tippett's sudden rise has come after the former Southport ruckman put a year of injuries behind him to develop into a tall forward option over the pre-season.
He has kicked 13 goals for the year, with a bag of four coming against Melbourne in his eighth senior game.
The former basketballer has shown immense promise after first playing football at the age of 17, before going on to represent Queensland in the 2006 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.
With his family still residing up north and younger brother Joel a rookie-listed player at the Brisbane Lions, Tippett has many reasons to consider a move back home, although he maintains he is more than happy at the Crows.
"It was a difficult move to make at the time, but it comes with the job," he said.
"I love playing footy and I was prepared to move anywhere at that time.
"Coming to Adelaide has been really good and I've settled in really well … The team and coaches and support staff have been really supportive, and that's made the move pretty easy."
The Crows offered Tippett a three-year deal when he first came to the club, which gave the young star an indication they were hopeful he would become an important part of their future.
"It did give me a bit of confidence, but I didn't really think too much of it at the time," he said.
"I was just more intent on getting in and playing footy, and letting that take care of itself."
Right now, the talented goalkicker is mainly focussed on ensuring he does his bit in making the Crows a genuine premiership contender.
"We're playing some good footy and I think we're improving every week," he said.
"We've still got a long way to go until we can challenge the top runners, but we're looking to take those steps and improve as we've got a lot of young players that are improving every week.
"Hopefully we can start to build some momentum now."
