Crows forward Riley Thilthorpe is set to be available for selection this weekend after missing Saturday night’s win over Carlton with a rolled ankle.
Thilthorpe was injured during last week’s main training session but has responded well and resumed training ahead of this week’s trip to Perth to play West Coast.
“Riley rolled his ankle in a contest on Wednesday night at training, we were hoping he would get up for the game but he didn’t quite get there on Friday,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
“He trained fully on Monday and we expect him to train this week and be available for selection this weekend.”
Defender Tom Doedee will be monitored this week after missing the Blues clash with soreness.
“Tom is battling a few different issues, a shoulder and a finger, the aim is for him to train this week and see how he responds to that training to see whether he’s available this weekend or not,” Burgess said.
“He did modified training last Wednesday and a bit of running and movement Friday and did pretty well so hopefully a little bit of time off has helped him.”
Fellow defender Luke Brown is also a chance to return from a knee injury providing he gets through training.
“Luke’s knee is responding reasonably well to the conditioning that we’re putting him through, we’re hoping he will train this week and be an assess for this weekend,” Burgess said.
Injury list as of Tuesday, August 2:
Luke Brown (knee) test
Tom Doedee (shoulder/finger) test
Andrew McPherson (knee) season
Rory Sloane (knee) season
Paul Seedsman (concussion) season
