Adelaide forward Shane McAdam will be tested at training this week as he recovers from a corked thigh ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Carlton.
McAdam was subbed out of the Round 19 loss to Sydney at quarter-time after a collision in a marking contest.
“Shane had a significant cork and was unable to continue,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
“He’s on light duties for the start of this week, we expect him to run tomorrow and train on Friday and be available for the weekend.”
Fellow small forward Josh Rachele is expected to be available for selection after missing the past three games with a hip injury.
“Josh has completed all of his rehab, he will be involved in training tomorrow and available for selection this weekend,” Burgess said.
“He’s been able to do a reasonable conditioning block, whether that’s enough to get him up for the weekend remains to be seen from a selection point of view, but certainly he’ll be available to play.”
Scans have revealed midfielder Matt Crouch has suffered a minor quad injury which forced him to miss Saturday’s SANFL game against Norwood.
“Matt was a late withdrawal from the SANFL game on the weekend, he was experiencing some minor quad tightness,” Burgess said.
“We scanned him on Monday and fortunately there was only a minor issue, we expect him to do some training tomorrow and hopefully be available for the weekend.”
