For the first time since the pandemic began, the Adelaide Football Club has been able to formally recognise its AFLW debutants from the past two seasons.
Debutants from Season Five - Lisa Whiteley, Ashleigh Woodland, Teah Charlton and Hannah Munyard - together with Seven Six's - Abbie Ballard, Jasmine Simmons, Brooke Tonon, Zoe Prowse and McKenzie Dowrick - were presented with jewellery boxes on Wednesday night.
Inaugural Crows AFLW premiership stars Talia Radan, Georgia Bevan and Rhiannon Metcalfe, together with midfielder Sophie Armitstead presented the special gifts to the debutants.
An initiative of the Adelaide Football Club Past Players and Officials, the jewellery boxes were presented to the players at an event with family and friends at AFL Max, following the team’s training session.
Past Player and Officials Board Member Courtney Cramey and Club Engagement Executive Sam Jacobs also addressed the players, families and staff.
Adelaide kicks off its Premiership defence with a Grand Final rematch against Melbourne under lights at Norwood Oval on August 26.
