Before being drafted to the Crows, Kiera Mueller tried her hand at many different sports including jump rope, netball and gymnastics.
She is the oldest of three siblings and loves spending time in the sunshine on the Gold Coast.
To help you get to know her better, the small defender has answered 10 questions from food and holidays, to how she started playing footy.
1. How old were you when you started playing footy?
I was pretty young, It was 2017 and I was still in Primary School and I was approached by one of the Blackwood Football Club coaches, he was trying to put together an under-14 team.
2. What do you love most about playing Aussie rules?
I love meeting all the new people - all the new teammates and coaches. It’s all like one big family and that’s something pretty special to be involved in. I’ve loved footy since I was young, so as soon as I got an opportunity to start playing, it was a no-brainer.
3. Do you have a nickname?
Just Kiz.
4. How many siblings do you have?
I have a younger brother and a younger sister. My sister Mia is 17 and Harry is 14.
5. Do you have a pre-game ritual?
I always put the left boot on and then the right boot on.
6. What’s your favourite holiday spot?
I love the Gold Coast. I love the weather up there.
7. Do you have any pets?
I have a cat called Gizmo and I also have a fish but I don’t think we have a name for the fish.
8. What’s your favourite food?
Sushi. I absolutely love sushi.
9. Did you play any other sports growing up?
I played netball, gymnastics and also jump rope at Primary School. I skipped for the Heart Foundation and then got an opportunity to go to nationals a couple of times and represented the state.
10. What’s your dream job?
I’m not too sure, but maybe a sports psychologist, I think that would be pretty cool.
