Dowrick received a late call-up to Adelaide’s AFLW squad last season as a replacement player and lined up in one game for the Club against St Kilda in Round 10.  

From Western Australia, Dowrick also has previous AFLW experience with West Coast and the Brisbane Lions. 

The long-kicking left-footer represented Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFLW competition, kicking 15 goals from eight games to finish equal-second in the league goal kicking at the end of the minor round and earning selection in the SANFLW Team of the Year.

“McKenzie was a late inclusion to our squad for Season Six and we were really happy with the way she fitted into our group. 

“McKenzie had an interrupted previous two years through injury and illness but was able to get some consistency in her footy last season both at training and also playing with the Eagles in SANFLW. 

“She has great skills and we’re excited to see what she can do with a full pre-season under her belt.”
