The AFLW’s reigning leading goal kicker will remain in the Crows’ nest after putting pen to paper on a new deal ahead of Season Seven.
In another coup for the Club’s Premiership defence, key forward and 2022 flag winner Ashleigh Woodland has signed a one-year contract extension.
Woodland, who booted 21 majors in Season Six to be crowned the League’s top goal kicker, played an integral role in the Crows’ Grand Final victory over Melbourne.
The 23-year-old star made the All-Australian team for the first time and finished eighth in Adelaide’s Club Champion award.
She headlines another list of players opting to stay put at West Lakes.
Experienced defender and two-time flag winner Marijana Rajcic, 2022 Premiership star Jasmyn Hewett and emerging ruck Montana McKinnon have also signed a one-year deal.
Rajcic has played 43 AFLW games for the Crows and has become one of the side's most reliable defenders.
Hewett returned to the Crows in 2022 after being on their list in 2017 and booted an important goal during Adelaide’s Grand Final win.
McKinnon was key to the Crows' game style with her intercept game and was awarded a Rising Star Nomination after the 39-point win over Carlton in Round Five
But the 20-year-old ruck missed the flag decider due to suspension.
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said keeping the squad together was a testament to the culture and the team’s desire for success.
The Club has now retained or extended the contracts of 15 players from its Season Six squad.
“Retaining most of our list is crucial to ensuring we can have sustained success,” Harper said.
“We are very pleased to have secured four more signatures from our Season Six Premiership Squad and we are excited to watch them continue to grow as footballers and people.”
