The captains of the ten AFLW teams have given their predictions ahead of the third season, with Adelaide pegged for success in 2019.
Ahead of Wednesday’s season launch in Melbourne, the ten skippers were asked five key questions about how they saw the season panning out.
If the leaders are correct, Adelaide would face newcomers North Melbourne in the Grand Final and Crows star Erin Phillips would take out the League’s leading goalkicker award.
TRIAL MATCH: New Crows impress
Phillips was tipped most likely to lead the goalkicking with four votes, ahead of Geelong’s Phoebe McWilliams and the Bulldogs’ Katie Brennan with two votes each.
As for the competition’s best and fairest, Adelaide’s co-captains both polled votes, with Phillips named second most likely to win the award behind Western Bulldogs star Ellie Blackburn.
Chelsea Randall received one vote alongside the Giants’ Courtney Gum and Melbourne’s Elise O’Dea and Karen Paxman.
