Adelaide SANFL-listed midfielder Nathan Freeman is returning to Melbourne to pursue off-field career opportunities.
The 26-year-old joined the Crows’ state league team this season and played four of the first six games despite suffering a shoulder injury in the pre-season.
Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly thanked Freeman for his contribution since he arrived in February.
“Nathan has expressed to us his desire to return to Melbourne and while disappointed to lose him we understand the reasons behind his decision and wish him all the best with his next move,” Kelly said.
Freeman said he was pursuing work opportunities outside of playing football which were in Melbourne.
“I’d like to thank Adelaide for the opportunity and while only here for a brief time I have enjoyed the experience,” Freeman said.
“But the best thing for me right now is to return to Melbourne where I have employment opportunities in sports management which have become my priority.”
