Adelaide boasts a wealth of Fantasy options up forward for those eager to splash some cash or discover the next bargain buy.

Tom Lynch is the Club’s most expensive forward priced just shy of the $500k mark after a career-best 2015 season.

The hard-working Crow put the injury worries of previous seasons to bed last year, playing every game for a career-high Fantasy average of 88 points per game. Lynch notched six tons along the way including three in the last six games of the home and away season. He added $167,000 to his overall value, but remained a surprisingly underrated player in the Fantasy community despite his rapid rise.

Lynch could be a great point of difference to any forward line if his rich Fantasy form carries into 2016.

Adelaide’s top two goalkickers of last season are also worth consideration.

Eddie Betts booted 58 home and away goals while Walker nailed 55 majors to finish third and fourth respectively in the 2015 Coleman Medal race.

Not normally a noted Fantasy performer, Betts averaged a career-best 76 points per game in his first All Australian season, including monster scores of 130, 132 and 114. Small forwards come with an element of danger in AFL Fantasy, and Betts served up three scores under 40 points last year. Coaches are more likely to jump on once his $421,000 starting price cools.

Walker could be one of Adelaide’s most popular buys at $454,000.

He starred in his first season as Crows captain to produce his best Fantasy output since 2012, beginning with a career-best 146 in the opening round against North Melbourne. A slimmer, leaner and stronger Walker could see Tex’s Fantasy value soar even higher in 2016.

Fantasy preview: Defenders

Dual-position players Mitch Grigg and Jarryd Lyons should both benefit from the scrapping of the substitute rule.

Left-footer Grigg showed plenty of Fantasy promise with scores among the 80s and 90s in all but one of his six games last season. Lyons has arguably the most to gain after wearing the green vest nine times from his 13 appearances in 2015. The tough FWD/MID looks a lock at just $247,000.

New recruit Troy Menzel is another tempting option at $260,000.

The South Australian could provide a quick injection of cash for coaches early in the year. Traded players are often popular in AFL Fantasy, and Menzel is sure to attract attention at such a cheap price.

Six Crows forwards are at the basement price of $125,000.

Keep a watchful eye on the likes of second-year Crows Mitch McGovern and Harry Dear throughout the NAB Challenge. The pair endured an injury-interrupted 2015 but both impressed at SANFL level when fit and firing.

Jonathon Beech is another name to keep in the back of your mind. The strong-marking 25-year-old has the build to step straight into senior football and is a proven SANFL ball-winner. Beech will need to be promoted off the rookie list first before he can make his AFL debut.
