Crows Eddie Betts and Scott Thompson have been nominated for Goal of the Year.
Betts, who kicked five goals in Adelaide’s Showdown loss, has been nominated for a remarkable goal from his pocket during the second quarter. The crafty forward pounced on a loose ball and off a few steadying steps set sail with his right foot, threading the ball through from the boundary line.
Thompson, who converted two brilliant snaps from a similar spot in the last quarter, has been nominated for his second goal against Port Adelaide. The dual Crows Club Champion shrugged a tackle and rather than let fly on his left foot, as he did with his first goal, stepped back onto his preferred right boot and snapped truly.
