The SANFL Crows are set be strengthened at both ends of the ground in Round 17, with swingman Mitch McGovern and defender Jake Kelly named in the team set to face Woodville-West Torrens on Sunday afternoon.
Having only played SANFL twice since 2015, McGovern is set to start up forward on Sunday, while it would be Kelly’s first game for the SANFL Crows since 2016.
Midfielder Myles Poholke returns to the team after being an emergency for the AFL team when the SANFL Crows last played two weeks ago during the SANFL split round.
After injuring his ankle in Round 12 against Sturt, Jackson Edwards has recovered and is set to face the Eagles.
Development squad members Doug Hadden, Damon Hill and Guy Ward are the other inclusions.
Ward will make his SANFL debut against Woodville.
Originally from Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, Ward recently moved to South Australia in an attempt to play SANFL footy.
Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Brodie Smith have both returned to the AFL side, while Leigh (knee), Slee (omitted) and Venning (unavailable) are also out.
In Round 10 earlier this season, Adelaide lost to the Eagles by 54 points, but having recently hit a good run of form, the Crows will be hoping to knock the Eagles out of the top two.
There will be a family fun atmosphere at Woodville prior to the game, with lots of free activities and giveaways set up around the oval as part of the Eagles Carnival Day.
For those who cannot make the game, it will be broadcast live on 107.9 Live FM from 1.30pm, with the opening bounce at 2.10pm on Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.
