Adelaide CEO Tim Silvers says the Club will be eyeing off young talent in the league’s upcoming trade and draft periods.
The Crows’ young side finished the season with seven wins and pick No. 4 in hand leading into the 2021 AFL Draft.
“I felt like we showed some genuine improvement (this year),” Silvers said.
“To get from three wins in 2020 to seven wins in 2021, I felt like we played a brand of footy that will hopefully stand up in finals and we saw some real development in our younger players.”
Speaking on Adelaide radio, Silvers said the Club would be actively focusing on talented youngsters.
“We’ve committed to a rebuild, that’s been our strategy and that’s been our process over the past two-three years and we’re getting games into our young talent,” Silvers said.
“We’ll be going into the draft again (with a high pick), our commitment is that we’ll go into the draft, get some young talent."
Silvers said he believed Adelaide had the pillars to draw young interstate talent.
“I think what people have seen from the outside, over the past two years with Matthew Nicks, we’re building a really good culture,” Silvers said.
“There’s been growth in the group, they can see our strategy, we’re building the games that we’re getting into our young players.
“We feel like we’ve got the key pillars in place to move up the ladder.”
