Ned McHenry has showcased his elite running capacity, finishing equal first with Wayne Milera Junior in Adelaide’s 2km time trial on Thursday morning.
The 18-year-old made a mad dash to the finish line to secure a dead heat with Milera in his first official time trial as a Crow.
Fellow first-round draftee, Chayce Jones, also impressed to finish third ahead of Jake Kelly, Rory Atkins and ruckman Reilly O’Brien.
General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said he was exceptionally pleased with the results.
“The majority of the players met their targets and it puts us in a wonderful position returning from the Christmas period,” he said.
“As first year players, it’s a great way for Ned and Chayce to start their careers and it puts them in the frame for playing AFL football early.”
The time trial marked Adelaide’s first pre-season training session of 2019.
