Crows veteran Richard Douglas will continue his career in the
Douglas will enter his 14th season of AFL football and further cement his place in the top-10 for games played at the Club.
The 31-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down in 2018 averaging more than a goal a game for the first time in his career to go along with 19 disposals.
Douglas said he is really happy at the Club and it was a pretty straightforward decision to sign on.
“I’ve always said being a one-club player is something that would be pretty special to me,” Douglas said.
“We’ve got a highly determined playing and coaching group who are driven towards achieving the ultimate success.
“I still feel I’ve got some good footy ahead of me and to be able to continue playing at the Club I’ve called home for more than a decade is great.”
Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said Douglas is an important member of the playing group.
“Dougie is a former Club Champion who has shown he can get the job done at the elite level year-in, year-out,” Reid said.
“He is a leader amongst our players and someone who always puts the team first in everything he does.”
Douglas is a two-time Phil Walsh Best Team Man award winner (2013, 2017) as well as a dual recipient of the Chelsea Phillis Coaches Award (2008, 2010).
He has played 231 AFL games since being drafted with pick No.16 at the 2005 National Draft.
