Four emerging Crows have committed to the Club on new two-year deals.
Forward Riley Knight and defenders Jake Kelly, Alex Keath and Tom Doedee have all signed until 2019.
Knight has played 26 games since being selected by Adelaide with pick No.46 in the 2013 National Draft.
The 22-year-old stood up on the finals stage in 2015, and has played 14 games this season after an injury-interrupted 2016.
As well as playing on a wing or across half-forward, the versatile Knight has recently channeled his strong work ethic and aggression into tagging roles in the midfield.
Kelly and Keath join the impressive list of rookie list success stories at Adelaide.
Kelly, who was recruited by the Crows as a rookie at the end of 2012, is one of the most improved players in the competition this season.
The competitive 22-year-old has missed only one match through injury, and has conceded less than a goal a game to his direct opponents. He’s also averaging 15 possessions at an elite 85 per cent efficiency.
Kelly has played a total of 28 AFL games since famously laying 10 tackles on debut in Round Three, 2015.
Keath, 25, put in the best performance of his four-game career against Essendon on Saturday night.
A former cricketer, the key-position player only returned to football full-time last year.
Keath made his AFL debut against Geelong in Round 18 and has grown with each game.
He took an equal-game high 11 marks against the Bombers, and showed composure to win several important one-on-one contests. Keath’s leadership was also recognised this year when he was named co-captain of Adelaide’s SANFL team alongside fellow Category-B rookie Hugh Greenwood.
Doedee is another promising defender, who is creating selection pressure with his strong SANFL form.
The 20-year-old has overcome injuries in the past 18 months to establish himself as a reliable contributor at State League level.
Athletic and courageous, the developing backman is No.1 in the SANFL for intercept possession despite having missed three games.
Doedee was the Club’s second pick in the 2015 AFL National Draft.
Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said all four players were an important part of the Club’s future.
“It’s a great reward for Riley, Jake, Alex and Tom,” Reid said.
“All four are very team-orientated players, who are willing to do whatever it takes to help the Club succeed and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow.
“We have developed a learning environment at Adelaide where we want to give players every chance of getting the best out of themselves.”
