Port Adelaide could welcome back key duo Jasper Pittard and Hamish Hartlett for Saturday’s Showdown XLII.
Pittard injured his hamstring during the Power’s JLT Community Series campaign but could slot straight in for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at Adelaide Oval.
2014 Showdown Medallist Hartlett was a late withdrawal from Port’s big win over Fremantle due to illness but will return to the team for the clash with the Crows.
Second-year ruckman Dougal Howard has also made a quicker than expected recovery from a torn ACL and could be available to play this weekend if required.
Port recorded no new injuries from the victory over the Dockers.
Small forward Angus Monfries has suffered another setback as he continues to work his way towards a return to AFL ranks.
Monfries strained his hamstring during training last week having already served a 12-month anti-doping suspension last season as part of the Essendon supplements saga.
The 30-year-old was previously recovering from a shoulder injury suffered late last year.
Monfries is expected to be sidelined for three weeks and is the only player on Port’s injury list at this stage.
