For the second year running, Tom Lynch gets the nod as Adelaide’s most expensive Fantasy forward off the back of another consistent season.

Priced at $545,000, a handy $54,000 increase on his 2016 base, Lynch is now among the premium Fantasy forwards and he boasts the numbers to back it up.

Lynch was among the top five forwards in AFL Fantasy last year, averaging 90.2 points in 21 games. The 26-year-old had eight 100-plus scores, including two mammoth totals over 130. However, despite his superb numbers over the past two seasons, Lynch remains surprisingly underrated by Fantasy coaches.

Lynch could provide a real point of difference for coaches should his strong Fantasy form continue in 2017.

With 137 home and away goals between them, Adelaide forward duo Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins could be worth a look as Fantasy forwards for 2017.

Betts, who finished third in the Coleman Medal race last year and was rewarded with his second All Australian nod, enjoyed his most consistent Fantasy year to date, playing every game and scoring over 100 points on three occasions.

Despite this, Fantasy coaches are always wary of small forwards and Betts did hurt coaches on occasion with scores below 50 in three games last year. But he could yet be worth the gamble.

Jenkins is also a somewhat risky option with spells of fluctuating Fantasy form, but the big man is coming off a career-best season. The 28-year-old notched the biggest Fantasy score of any Crow last year with a 156 in Round 11 against St Kilda. He’s got a high ceiling and those kinds of scores can be the difference in head-to-head Fantasy league matches.

Priced at $241,000, Riley Knight could be the best Fantasy bargain on the Crows list. His value has dropped almost $50k following an injury-ravaged 2016 which saw him play just one AFL game.

A hard-running player who loves to impact the scoreboard, Knight could be a handy cash cow if he can stay injury free in 2017.

Mature-aged rookie Jonathon Beech is another Crows forward to keep close tabs on.

The State League Club Champion had a stellar first season West Lakes, averaging 18 disposals and booting 29 goals and is ready to go should an opportunity present.

At the bargain price of $199,000, Beech is a hardened performer who could prove a handy downgrade option if he earns promotion to the senior list during the year.
