Geelong's Mitch Duncan and Josh Caddy won't play in the club's final game of the season against Adelaide at Simonds Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Duncan hasn't recovered from the calf problem that has already seen him miss three matches, while Caddy has been troubled by knee soreness after copping a knock in the Round 21 draw with St Kilda.
"They're both making good progress. But they're not at an acceptable level for us, so we won't take the risk," Geelong physio Mark Young said on the club's website.
Mathew Stokes is a confirmed starter for Saturday's clash at Simonds Stadium. The premiership Cat will return to Geelong's AFL team for the first time since Round 20 before retiring from senior football.
Fellow premiership player James Kelly will also retire after Saturday's clash with the Crows.
