In contrast, Patrick Dangerfield was Adelaide’s leading possession-getter with 27. Dangerfield also took five marks, won four clearances and generated four inside 50ms.
Tom Lynch took a team-high 10 marks against the Swans. Lynch also kicked an equal-game high three goals and assisted in another three. The forward had a total of nine score involvements on Saturday, involved in nearly half (45 per cent) of all Adelaide’s scores.
Adelaide laid a season-low 38 tackles against Sydney – the fewest of any team in Round 18.
The Swans recorded 126 more possessions than the Crows and also 46 more marks.
Adelaide’s score of 9.11 (65) was the its second-lowest of the season behind the Round Nine loss to Fremantle in which the Crows scored an inaccurate 7.15 (57).
