Patrick Dangerfield was adjudged the best Crows player on the ground in Showdown XXXVIII.
Dangerfield earned six votes from coaches Phil Walsh and Ken Hinkley at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
In a greater midfield role, Dangerfield amassed a season-high 36 possessions. This included a game-high 21 contested possessions and 14 clearances. He also laid six tackles, generated seven inside 50ms and had an equal-Round Five-high 11 hard-ball gets.
Showdown Medallist Robbie Gray received nine votes. Gray finished with 32 possessions, 11 clearances and a goal in a polished performance. Port Adelaide’s five-goal hero Jay Schulz collected six votes, while captain Travis Boak, who amassed 33 disposals and a goal, received five votes.
Dangerous forward Eddie Betts was the only other Crow to gain recognition from the coaches. Betts, who kicked five goals from 19 possessions, earned three votes. Power defender Alipate Carlile, who had the job on Taylor Walker, rounded out the voting (one).
Fremantle star Nat Fyfe extended his lead at the top of the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year award. Fyfe polled another nine votes in Freo’s win over Melbourne to move 12 clear of Sydney Swans onballer Dan Hannebery (30). The influential Dockers midfielder has polled 42 of a possible 50 votes in the opening five rounds of the season.
Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury (29) has climbed into third place overall, one vote ahead of Greater Western Sydney onballer Dylan Shiel. Rory Sloane leads the way for Adelaide. Sloane is one of five players on 21 votes, ranked equal-fifth overall.
