“EDDIEEEEEEE, EDDIEEEEEEE, EDDIEEEEEEE!”
The chant around Adelaide Oval as Eddie Betts lined up for his fourth goal of Balfours Showdown XXXVII was deafening!
It was the third goal in as many weeks Betts has slotted from the north-eastern side of Adelaide Oval, which coach Brenton Sanderson says the livewire Crow has now earned naming rights to.
“I think we’ve now got the Eddie Betts pocket officially now,” Sanderson said.
“Even when Port play here at Adelaide Oval, that’s the Eddie Betts pocket. He doesn’t miss from there; in front of the scoreboard and in front of The Hill. He knows when to slot them and he kicked some important goals for us in the last quarter.
“It was a really good contribution from Eddie tonight.”
