A selection of Crows AFL-listed players will play alongside three contenders from the Foxtel reality show “The Recruit” in an exhibition game at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Adelaide’s SANFL side, filled out by a large group of development players, will play the Port Adelaide Magpies from 4pm after the Crows’ AFL clash with Gold Coast.
Jason Porplyzia, Luke Thompson, Rory Atkins, Cam Ellis-Yolmen, Jack Osborn, Sam Siggins plus the emergencies from the AFL game will have a run in the match.
The Recruit is a 10-part reality television series hosted by former Crow Ryan Fitzgerald.
It features an extensive search of local football leagues and will provide a player with the opportunity to earn a spot on an AFL club's list. The show starts on July 16 on FOX8.
With the SANFL competition having a bye this weekend for its representative game against the VFL in Melbourne, the exhibition game will allow some of Adelaide's AFL-listed players to continue to play and will also provide opportunities for development players to impress.
